After I was diagnosed, I was referred to a couple of specialists.
Turner Syndrome affects every individual differently and in various parts of the body, including the heart and the kidneys. We didn't suspect that anything would be abnormal, but we wanted to be sure. I remember the small stickers all over my body for the EKG, the strange wooshing sound of the echocardiogram, and the feeling of the hard plastic probe running up and down my lower back for the ultrasound of my kidneys.
I also consulted with a specialist in growth hormones, but we decided that this wouldn't be the best option for me. After this, there was a bit of a quiet period.

About six months later, I was back at the doctor's office for another abdominal ultrasound. From what I understood, the chances were highly unlikely to none, but it was to see if the hormone therapy had triggered any change.
I vividly remember that a few days or so before, I was thinking about this while standing in the shower. With the warm water running over me, I gently placed my hand on my stomach, and prayed that God would work a miracle like I believed only He could.
I wasn't sure if I had the right words to say, but it went something like this:
God,
This situation feels out of my control, but right now, I am asking for the strength to trust you. This may be out of my hands, but I am putting it into Yours. Please do what only You can do.
Amen.

With that being said, I don’t think that any of us were prepared for what we saw when the probe met my skin for the second time...
...a fully developed, healthy uterus!
I stared at the screen in front of me in disbelief, taking in the notable difference between now and just 6 short months before. Everyone in the room was so shocked, it was tangible. In that moment, there was hope again!
"Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing?" my mom asked after a few moments of silence.
"Yes!" the tech replied. "I must go get the doctor right away!"
Shortly after, the doctor came in and was just as stunned as the rest of us.
"This isn't something that happens." she said. "This, in other words, is nothing short of a miracle."
